Edward Bernard

Edward P. Bernard, 58 of Amenia, ND, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. Ed was born on August 21, 1951 in Breckenridge, MN to Vincent and Rosella Bernard. He graduated from high school in Wheaton, MN and attended Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, MN, receiving a degree in welding. He worked as a welder most of his life, most recently with Alloway and Beuhler in Fargo. He married Linda Haine in September 1985 in Fargo and they have resided on a farm near Amenia since that time. Ed enjoyed woodworking, time spent on the farm and having coffee and cookies with his family and he loved his dogs, Daisy, Brandy and Bear. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosella and Brandy and Bear. Ed is survived by his wife, Linda of Amenia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Jane Haine of Amenia; brother-in-law, Terry Haine of Beulah, ND; sisters-in-law, Sheila Carlson of Fargo and Kelly and Kelly Brooks of Fargo; his father, Vincent Bernard of Rosholt, SD; siblings, Robert, Mary, Donna, Bunny, Angie, Bill, Dan, Lucy and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 8 at 1:30 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Interment: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo.
