Obituary

Edward Joseph Volesky was born January 11, 1932 at Belfield, ND to Vincent and Emily (Kukowski) Volesky. The family moved to Georgetown, Mn. where he farmed with his father until his retirement. He married Shirley Hettwer on June 6, 1959 and they had four children. He was married to Sylvia Meidinger until her death in 1998. He had a close friend Caroline VanRaden.

Ed was talented with carpentry and metal skills. His hobbies included designing and making large and small lawn ornaments, welding and making toy tractors and farm machinery that family and others are enjoying. He was proud of his garden and shared extra vegetables with others. He enjoyed fishing with his family. Those close to him will remember his way of helping others before himself and discussing family and area events from years ago.

Survivors include his daughter: Janelle, sons: Michael, Mark, Matthew(Karla). Step-children: Tina(Glenn) Anderson, Mark(Sue) Meidinger. Grandchildren: Matthew, Danielle, Iain, Tessa, Seth, Reed, Sydney. Step-grandchildren: Matt, Jonathan, Nathan, Carrie, Mark, Shara, one great step-grandchild, Colton, many relatives and friends. His parents and brother, Francis, Sylvia Volesky and Caroline VanRaden preceded him in death.

Eddie (We always called him that) had all the positive qualities attributed to him in the guest book.
He was my cousin and we played together when we were kids. He came from good stock and he
    continued the tradition.
