Esther Marie Fraase, 76, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 under the care of Hospice of the Red Valley at Bethany Homes in Fargo.
Esther was born to William and Matilda (Stern) Rasmussen on April 18, 1931 in Carrington, North Dakota. She grew up and attended school in Sheldon, ND. Esther Rasmussen and Reuben Fraase were married at Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin, ND on October 17, 1948. After their wedding, they lived in Enderlin and moved to Fargo in 1950. Esther worked at various places in Fargo before retiring from the Elim Care Center in 1992. Esther is a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo and a faithful servant of our Lord. She actively served and enjoyed working with seniors at the Depot. Esther loved playing cards, puzzles, bingo, and spending time with family. Her contagious laugh will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son Glenn (DeAnn) Fraase, Fargo, ND; her daughter, Judy (Charles) Mihalik, Carmel, Indiana; 3 grandchildren, McKenna Fraase, Fargo, Stacy (David) Moore, Carmel, and Angie (Jim) Everhart, Pasadena, Md.; 4 great grandchildren; her sister, Delores Hamilton, Seattle, WA; two stepsisters, Darlene Hartson, Alice, ND and Marlene Hermanson, Casselton, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben, in 1989.
