Eugene Erickson

Eugene Ernest Erickson, 65, Ulen MN died on Tuesday, April 11, 2016 at Unity Hospital in Manchester, TN. Eugene was born September 21, 1950 in Delamere, ND. He grew up in Hickson, attending Hickson Elementary and Kindred High School. Eugene worked for various companies including Charon Auto, Allway, Sturdevant’s Auto Parts, and MeritCare for 25 years. He also owned his own business, G & G Auto Sales in Hawley, MN. Eugene loved working on and repairing vehicles. He also enjoyed classic cars, collecting vehicles including models of them. Eugene loved to go fishing and spend time with his grandchildren and going on four-wheeler rides. If you couldn’t find Gene spending time with his grandchildren or his significant other, you could find him out in his garage doing something, even if it was just putting tools away. His garage was his little get away place where he loved to be. Gene’s health started to decline in 2009 but that still didn’t slow him down from doing what he loved to do. His prized possessions were family, grand kids and classic cars. He was always willing to help others when needed. Survived by his significant other of 35 years, Delores Svare (Ulen); daughter, Nicole Erickson (Ulen); son, Eric Erickson (Ulen); 2 grandchildren, Tate Moses & Skyra Erickson both of Ulen; brother, Jim (Colleen) Erickson, (Lake Park); many nieces and nephews and also many uncles and aunts and cousins. Preceded in death by: his mother, father, sister, brother, and 2 grand kids.
