Eunice Engebretson

Eunice passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2004, at the Hillsboro Medical Center Nursing Home at the age of 68. Eunice Kamphaug was born on February 2, 1936, the daughter of Ole and Agnes (Monson) Kamphaug, near Hatton, ND. She grew up in this area and attended school. Eunice was united in marriage to Harold Engebretson on July 29, 1953, in Finley, ND. They made their home in this area until moving to Pelican Rapids, MN, in 1958. Three sons were born to this unison, Daniel, Gary and David. They raised their family in Pelican Rapids and she worked at the West Central Turkey Plant and also at the Pelican Valley Nursing Home. Eunice moved to the Mayville-Hillsboro area in 1984, and worked at the Mayville Nursing Home for a number of years. She later moved to the Kiwanis Homes in Hillsboro where she has resided since. Eunice was a resident of the Hillsboro Nursing Home for the past few months. Eunice is survived by her son, Daniel (Barb) Engebretson of Alexandria, MN; and David (Tammy) Engebretson of PA; and her granddaughter, Tyanna Engebretson of Minneapolis, MN. Eunice is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Nelson of Hillsboro, ND; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Gary; and her brothers, Ellsworth and Delbert.
