Eunice Iwen

Eunice L. Iwen was born to John and Leontine (Krueger) on April 11, 1911 in Arthur, ND. She graduated from Arthur High School and the University of North Dakota with a bachelor?s degree in education and business. After teaching one year she traveled east to Philadelphia, PA where she worked in the brokerage business. Her love for North Dakota and Pennsylvania never waned as she spent time in both states until returning to farm in 1960. She was a masterful farmer and earned several awards for her agricultural prowess. Eunice was active in the farming operation until retiring in 2001. She died June 26, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND. She is survived by her partner of 35 years, Clarence Johnson of Arthur, ND and several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Arthur United Methodist Church, Arthur, ND. Visitation: Noon until the service at 2:00 pm at Arthur United Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 30, 2004. Burial: Arthur Cemetery following the service. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Fredrikson Funeral Chapel.
