Evelyn Gutknecht

The angels came to take Evelyn Gutknecht home on September 21st, 2006. Evelyn passed away in her home after a short battle with cancer under the loving care of her family and Hospice. Evelyn Magdalene Pedersen was born to Vigo and Mary Pedersen on August 13th, 1940 in Selz, ND. She attended school in Harvey until the family moved to Fargo in 1953. Evelyn worked at Bethany Homes, a job she enjoyed and loved being able to interact with the friendly staff and residents. She married Richard Gutknecht on May 29th, 1965 in Fargo at St. Anthony?s o Padua. They had three beautiful daughters and seven grandchildren. Evelyn?s loving spirit and sense of family will be forever carried on by her family. She taught them well. Evelyn leaves her husband Richard; daughters: Kelly (Mike) Ridder of West Fargo, ND, Stacy (Rick) Cossette of Oxbow, ND, Kari (Dayne) Bedford of Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren: Alexander, Tyler, Ashley, Tanya, Logan, Zachary, and Darrek; brothers: Vigo (Jan) Pedersen of West Fargo, ND, Andrew (Deb) Pedersen of Fargo, ND; three sisters; Linda (Ron) Johnson of Watertown, SD, Pam (Gary) Fowler of Ogema, ND, Elaine Pedersen of Fargo, ND; as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Mary and Vigo Pedersen, and her sister Bernice Lavin. Visitation: Sunday, September 24th, 2006 from 6-8 pm at Boulger Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Monday. Prayer Service: 8 pm Sunday September 24th, 2006 at Boulger Funeral Home. Funeral: Monday September 25th, 2006 at 2pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Fargo, ND. Burial: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
