Everett Peterson

Everett Raymond Peterson, 87, Fargo, ND passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Sanford Health in Fargo. He was born on January 15, 1931 in Woodworth, ND to Everett and Emma (Hausaur) Peterson. He grew up in Woodworth and graduated from Woodworth High School. Following graduation, Everett taught at the school before he moved to Jamestown where he worked at the music store. He also played the accordion for dances and gave lessons. Everett then moved to Fargo to attend Interstate Business College and Moorhead State University where he earned an accounting degree. He worked at Daveau Music Store in Fargo for a few years until he began his employment with Shirley-Onstad Plumbing and Heating as the controller. He worked there for the next 25 years. Everett then started his own accounting business, ER Enterprises. He owned and operated the company until his retirement in 2002. On November 11, 1955 Everett was united in marriage to Delores Herzog at First Lutheran Church in Fargo. The couple made their home Fargo where they raised their daughter. In 1968 they built a home on Lake Lizzie where they spent their summers for the next 40 years. Everett was a music lover who enjoyed playing music, but absolutely loved to dance. He also enjoyed the time he spent woodworking in his shop, aka “The Sawdust Factory.” Everett was a devoted family man who called his wife and daughter several times a day right up until the end. He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Delores; daughter, Tami (Dennis) Jones, Baltimore, MD; and his beloved dog, Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be a visitation from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service following at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, with a visitation one hour prior.
