Florence J. Myers, Harwood, ND passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Rosewood on Broadway. Florence was born July, 28, 1919, in Loma, North Dakota to Julius and Rose (Otto) Dura. She grew up on a farm in Loma, the youngest of two brothers and six sisters; her family called her Ole. Florence attended school in Loma. She worked in Grand Forks and during World War II she worked in Tacoma, Washington, where she worked at Boeing making B25s. Florence married Leonard Wayne Myers in Tacoma on January 8, 1944. They came to Harwood after the war. They lived all their lives in Harwood. They had two children Leonard and Keith. Florence is survived by her sons; Leonard, Grand Forks, ND; Keith (Rita), Grand Forks, ND. Grandchildren, Ladema (Grover) Gore, Lewisville, NC; Samantha Myers, Grand Forks, ND; Blair (Krystal) Myers-Leehy, Crystal, MN; Great Grandchildren, Grover (Bo) Gore III; Madelynn Gore; Wyatt Myers-Leehy; Oliver Myers-Leehy; Devin Leehy; Sisters-in-Law, Audrey Dura, Dorothy Ehlers, and Phyllis Myers. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; two grandsons, Kristopher and Derek; brothers, Art, Leo and Willie; sisters, Clara, Emma, Rose, Lena, Gladys and Millie. There will be a Prayer Service on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation from 5-7p.m. at Boulger Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St Williams Catholic Church, Argusville, ND at 10:30 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m.

  1. Rest in peace, Florence. I’m so glad I got to know you and share our interest in old photos and family history. I won’t forget our many visits and phone calls throughout the years, nor our last visit just after your birthday last summer. Thank you for sharing so much with me. I will miss you.

  3. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dear loved one. Please accept my condolences at this painful time. Losing a loved one is distressing and as comfort is needed from family and friends, we have assurance from the Bible that “death will be swallowed up forever” at Isaiah 25:8. It is my hope your family will find strength to endure during the days ahead.

  4. I will miss Florence- a wonderful lady- God bless you as you morn her passing- I was able to talk to her a couple of times at Rosewood as my wife’s mom was a couple of doors down.

  5. Florence was such a sweet lady with a ready smile. I always enjoyed visiting with her at St. William’s Church. Both she and Leonard were involved in many Harwood activities, as well as church activities. Rest in peace, Florence. (I will be out of town and unable to attend her funeral.)

Izabella, Mazzy and Ezra would all say when are we going back to see Florence and we weren’t even out of the driveway. RIP my dear you deserve it and will always be in our hearts

  11. Such a caring, loving, wonderful lady! Always enjoyed visiting with her and listening to stories of times past. Many a time she would bring me cake, treats, supper, and Mmmm, Mmmm the caramel rolls….!! I am thankful to have been her neighbor and gotten to know her. I have thought about her and her family often over the years. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Godspeed Florence…
