Frederick O. Jahn, of Hillsboro, ND, formerly of Hesperia CA, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the age of 98 years, at the Hillsboro Nursing Home.

Frederick was married to Avis Tenborg of Gardner, ND at the Methodist Church in Hillsboro in 1947. He and his wife moved to California where he began many years working for McDonnell and Douglas Aircraft. They lived in different parts of Southern California having settled in Hesperia where he was involved in his passion of flying. He owned his own plane and enjoyed many hours in the sky. He loved California but always kept track of the farm and the crops back in North Dakota.

  1. Dale Emery says:

Fred was a gentle person who never lost his passion for flying and never forgot his North Dakota roots. He is now at peace after being cared for lovingly by Vonie and Tanya. Ultimately he will be buried by his dear Avis. Rest in peace, Fred!

  2. Sandy Leum & Garden Peas says:

Sorry to hear of Fred’s (Sonny) death. He lived and long and happy life, even though the last few years weren’t very good health-wise. I’m sure he appreciated all the help Vonnie and Tanya gave him during his last few years. I’m sure he is busy right now with his beloved plane, giving rides to everyone in heaven. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
