Gary Fischer, 58, Fargo, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Sanford Health Palliative Care, Fargo.
Gary was born to Lawrence “Larry” and Eileen (Enger) Fischer in Fargo on April 19, 1954. He grew up in Fargo where he attended North High School. He received welder certification. He began working for Hardware Incorporated as a welder. He worked as a night auditor for Hi 10 Motel in West Fargo. Gary married Linda Sather in Moorhead on July 23, 1982. They made their home in Moorhead. They later divorced. He worked for 20 years in the tree trimming service. He worked with his father at Larry’s Tree Service from 1990-2000. He was forced to retire as a result of severe emphysema. He lived at New Horizon Manor for the past year.
Gary enjoyed fishing, watching television especially pro wrestling, was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing darts.
He is survived by his father, Lawrence; brothers, Mark and Todd; sister, Sandra; nephew, Christopher Fischer; and great niece, Jalin Fischer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen and sister, Judith.

fargi ndI am so sad to hear of gary’s passing-he will be greatly missed-I enjoyed having a coke and long talks with him.. I remember the look in his eyes when I would bring him pizza.. like a kid in a candy store…I will miss you so much buddy.. love you and rest in peace

I will miss you so much Gary! You were my #1 fav patient to take care of at Tami’s Angels and I loved the stories we used to share. I will always miss you and you will always hold a special place in my heart! What a guy! My prayers and sympathy are with Larry and the rest of the family. I knew Gary for a short time, but he sure made a huge impact in my life. RIP buddy!
