Gaston E. Cossette, Elim Nursing Home, Fargo, N D died in the nursing home on Sunday, June 18, 2006. Gaston E. Cossette, 94, of Fargo, N. D. was born on September 10, 1911 at St. Benedict, ND where he grew up on a farm. Gaston farmed near Kindred, ND for a number of years. He married Florence Brunelle in St. Benedict?s Catholic Church in 1936. She died in 1962. Gaston lived in Kindred, and worked for John Deere in Kindred as a mechanic for 20 years. He lived in Horace, ND. and worked for Dan?s Oil Co. in West Fargo, ND as a truck driver for 10 years. In 1966 he moved to Fargo, ND and began working for First Bank, retiring from there in 1976. Gaston married Ruth Trana Bond in Dilworth Minn. January 10, 1969. She died February 21, 2006. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges. Barbara and family would like to give our thanks and deepest appreciation to Elim Nursing Home, to the nurses, and the CNA?s for their compassion and tender loving care that they gave to Gaston and Ruth. Gaston is survived by his son, Kenneth Cossette, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; four stepsons, Curtis (Marion) Bond, Olathe, Kansas, Jay (Elsie) Bond, Kilgore, Texas, Joel (Audrey) Bond, Philomath, Oregon, Gary (Karen) Bond, Mesa, Arizona; three stepdaughters, Barbara (Lewis) Metcalf, Fargo, ND, Susan (Jerry) Christianson, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Edelle Bond, Fargo, ND. He is survived by two brothers, Lawrence, and Clifford, both of Fargo, ND; and three sisters, Lucille Bussier and Laura Rheault, both Fargo, ND and Charlotte Thom, Long Prairie, MN; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Gaston was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Emma Cossette; his 2 wives, Florence and Ruth Cossette; his brother, Maurice Cossette; his sister Hazel Bernier; and two stepsons, Paul and Mark Bond. Funeral 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fargo Prayer Service 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Boulger Funeral Home Visitation 4:00 to 7:00 Wednesday in the funeral home and one hour before the funeral in church.
