Genevieve Schell, 74, of Fargo, ND peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Bethany Retirement Living. She was born September 3, 1944, in Rugby ND to Matthew and Josephine (Buckmeier) Lemar. Genevieve graduated from Lake Region State College and was employed with Winger Cheese, Towner, ND for over 30 years. She moved to Fargo in 2008 and was employed with Washington Elementary School. She retired in 2016. Genevieve was compassionate, hardworking, and had a big heart. Her affection and devotion toward her family and friends was endless. Genevieve loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. Her greatest passions were attending sporting events, listening to music, and giving great big tight hugs. Genevieve will be fondly remembered by family and friends for both her caring nature and inexhaustible humor. Her pursuit of a good prank provided laughter to those around her. Survivors include her three daughters, DeAnn (Richard) Hermanson, Lori (Sonny) Berndt, Tammy (Brock) Haman. Eight grandchildren, Jessica (Austin) Satrom, Jacob Hermanson, Leah Hermanson, Randy Berndt (Fiancée Kenya), Desserae Berndt, Brittany Berndt (Fiancé Dustin), Jaedon Haman and Nathaniel Haman. Three great- grandchildren; Austin DeMers, Hailey DeMers and Nora Satrom. Brothers; Ralph (Donna) Lemar, Edward (Claudia) Lemar, Virgil Lemar ,and sister Josie (Vance) Bowersox. The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Retirement Living for the great care and compassion that was provided to our mom, sister and grandma. Some people just touch your heart and stay there forever. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers James and Harold. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association ND and MN chapter, 2631 12th Ave S, Fargo, ND 58103.

    My heart will forever hold special memories of Genevieve. She was so full of life and laughter. I feel blessed to have had her in my circle of friends through the years. Was great seeing her at state baseball the past couple of years……….the visits will forever be cherished. God bless her memory and may the Lord give you all strength. I know she’s among the angels………including my special angels.

She was kind, compassionate and always wanting to know how we were doing. She was very supportive and encouraging to me when I choose my career path.   7. My deepest sympathy to Genevieve’s family. Working with her at Winger Cheese for many years, we shared a lot of jokes and pranks. She was a person dedicated to accuracy in dealing with figures, a very conscientious and dedicated employee. She will be missed by the many people who shared in her friendship. May God bless and comfort the family of Genevieve in the days ahead.

  9. I was so sorry to learn of Genevieve’s passing. We were co workers at Winger Cheese. I will always remember her dedication to her work and how enjoyable it was to work alongside her. She was so dedicated to her job and to Winger Cheese. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She was so proud of her family. I was proud to call her friend. I’m so very sorry, and may God give you all strength to help you deal with the loss of such a special, good and kind person. She will, indeed, be missed by many!
