George Woodbury, age 80, of Fargo, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo.
George was born January 29, 1924, at Napoleon, ND, the son of Albert and Alma (Fredrickson) Woodbury. He attended rural school there. He and his brother Edward lived on a farm until 1946 when they moved to the state of Washington. George worked at a saw mill for 10 years. In 1955, he moved to a farm at Warden, Montana. In 1972, he moved to Fargo and worked on the Helgrim farm until he retired.
He is survived by one brother, Edward (Margaret) Woodbury of West Fargo, ND; one nephew, Charles (Rose) Woodbury and family, Matthew, Angela, and Kate Woodbury, West Fargo; and one niece, Charlene (Peter) Hovde, Moorhead, MN. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews, Verna Stiener, Idaho, and Darleen (Harlan) Taylor, Florida.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Boulger Funeral Home, and also from 1-2 p.m. Monday in Boulger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Springvale Cemetery, Fargo.
