Gerald Kram

Gerald Joseph Kram, 62, Fargo, entered into the loving arms of Jesus, his Creator and Savior, on August 24, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family.  Jerry fought a long and courageous battle after being diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2002.

Jerry was born November 13, 1948 in Langdon, North Dakota to Joe and Ella Kram.  Jerry attended St. Alphonsus School, graduating in 1966.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts from UND in 1970.  He served in the National Guard for 6 years.

Jerry married Helen (Schneider) on July 24, 1971.  They were blest with 4 children and 6 grandchildren.  Jerry cherished his family and loved being a "Grandpa."  His quick wit and sense of humor always brought a laugh to those around him.

In July 1971 he started working at Berg Auto Supply and continued there until his retirement in September 2008 due to health reasons.  Jerry especially enjoyed summers at Long Lake relaxing with family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Helen, Fargo, ND; children, Karen (Kevin) Strom, Lecanto, FL; Jeff (Carrie) Kram, St. Anthony Village, MN; Katie (Justin) Dummer, Alexandria, MN; Sara Kram (Joseph Miller, fiancé), Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Kelly and Kasey Strom, Philip and Cecilia Kram, Kylee and Alexis Dummer; brother, James Kram, Langdon, ND; sister, Kathy Kram, Minto, ND.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Rosewood on Broadway, or Roger Maris Cancer Center.
