Geraldine Mickelson

Geraldine Ruth Mickelson, 79, West Fargo, ND, formerly of Davenport, ND, died Friday, December 17, 2004, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Gerry was born August 10, 1925, to Edward and Marie (Vice) Olson, in Osgood, rural West Fargo, ND. Gerry grew up in the Kindred and Durbin areas of North Dakota and graduated in 1943 from Casselton High School, Casselton, ND. Gerry married Allen Mickelson August 27, 1944, at the Davenport Lutheran Church, Davenport. Gerry and Allen lived and farmed in the Davenport area. When they retired they moved into Davenport later moving into West Fargo in July 2002. Gerry had been a resident of Bethany Homes for the past month. Gerry is survived by her husband, Allen of West Fargo; one son, Keith (Kris) Mickelson of Hitterdahl, MN; one daughter, Nannette (Richard) Petersen of Grafton, ND; one brother, Ronald (Rose) Olson of Casselton; three sisters, Doris Olsgard of Jamestown, ND, Lorraine (Erick) Lee of Kindred, and June Lund of Bismarck, ND; six grandchildren, Kyle (Nancy) Mickelson of Foxholm, ND, Kemberly (Mike) Souter of Lawton, OK, Ryan Petersen of Nowra, Australia, Chad (Stephanie) Petersen of Valley City, ND, Scott Petersen of Upland, CA, and Brett Petersen of Fargo; and five great grandchildren. The funeral for Geraldine is Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 11:00 am at the Norman Lutheran Church, rural Kindred, ND. The visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2004 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. The burial will be at the Kindred Cemetery, Kindred, ND. Arrangements are being handled by Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND.
