Glen George

Glen Wayne George, 71, Halstad, MN died January 1, 2005 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Glen was born August 2, 1933 to William and Clister George of Kennett, Missouri where he grew up. After serving in the Army, Glen made a career as an over the road truck driver. Glen married Lorraine Josephine Simonson on April 19, 1968 in Sisseton, SD. They raised their three children in Fargo, ND. His beloved wife, Lorraine, passed away February 9, 1990 after a tough struggle with cancer. Glen was a driver and owner operator for Berg Grain & Produce of Fargo for over 25 years. Glen moved to Halstad, MN in 1997. While living in Halstad, he was a driver and owner operator of a semi truck for Valley Grain of Casselton, ND, retiring in March 2004. Glen was a kind and generous person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching NASCAR and going to the lakes as he loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, and one sister. Glen is survived by his three sons, Myron (Cindy), Halstad, MN, Shannon (Tracy), Halstad, MN, and Deion, Moorhead, MN; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, his sister, Susan Boone, Clayton, MI; and many nieces and nephews in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Michigan.
