Gloria M. Meyer, 80, of Fargo, died on Sunday, June 3, at Bethany Towers in Fargo.

Gloria Mae Schutz was born to Joseph and Bertha (Donner) Schutz, on December 17, 1931. She grew up in Fargo and attended St. Mary’s Elementary School in Fargo. She worked at the Stork for a time. She also worked at Dakota Hospital for 10 years in the Food Service Department, Community Health for 3 years, and the 400 Restraint for 10 years. She worked part-time at Widman’s Candy during the holiday seasons for 3 years and as a Foster Grandparent at Lutheran Social Services for 3 years and volunteered at Head Start of Fargo.  Gloria Schutz married Arnold Meyer on April 14, 1951 in Fargo. They lived in Fargo and Moorhead over the years.

She liked making scrapbooks for her granddaughter Emma, and spending time with all her grandchildren.  She loved visiting with friends and spending time with her family. Her faith was very important to her and she enjoyed attending church.

She is survived by her children: Douglas Meyer, Sabin, MN; Pam Meyer, Fargo, ND; Tamara Meyer, Moorhead, MN; Jodi (Blair) Anderson, Moorhead, MN; 4 grandchildren: Melissa Matson, Kira Matson, Chelsie Matson, and Emma Blue Anderson; and 3 great grandchildren: Trinity Locklear, Leah Locklear, and Mason Cassidy Lee Locklear; sisters: Jeannette Klinkhammer, Fargo, ND; Mary Janice (Charles) Platt, Naples, FL; and one brother: Gerald (Mary Karen) Schutz, Detroit Lakes, MN.
