Grayce Margaret Nelson, 76, formerly of Fargo, died in Sun City Center, Florida on Saturday, January 31, 2004. Grayce Dougherty was born September 2, 1927, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Leona (Ellsworth) Dougherty. She grew up there, and graduated from Cathedral High School. She then worked as a dental assistant in Sioux City. She married Bill D. Nelson on May 15, 1947, in Sioux City, where they made their home. Mr. Nelson was a salesman, they lived in many communities. In 1960, the family moved to Fargo. They retired to Sun City Center in 1994, and have lived there since. She was a loving wife and mother. While in Fargo, Grayce was an active member of St. Anthony?s Catholic Church. She was a member of the League of Women Voters in Fargo, and also a member of the Orestes Brownson Study Club. She was an excellent seamstress. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to LifePath Hospice, 1647 Sun City Center Plaza, Suite 104, Sun City Center, FL 33573. She is survived by her husband, Bill, Sun City Center; seven children, Beth (Larry) Skagen, Fargo, Kim (Jay) Eisenbeis, Fargo, Pat Nelson, Richville, MN, Mike (Debbie) Nelson, Dilworth, MN, Abby (Tony) Rheault, Fargo, Maggy (Scott) Brace, Lakeville, MN, and Pete (Stacy) Nelson, Minneapolis, MN; 19 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Bowen, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Ann Nelson; sister, Betty Olson; and brother, Francis Dougherty Jr. The funeral will be at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo at 10:30 a.m on Saturday, February 14, 2004. Visitation will be Friday from 6-7 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, and in the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
