Harold R. Reeck, Fargo, ND, age 80, died Tuesday, January 25, 2005 in ManorCare, Fargo. Harold R. Reeck was born May 22, 1924 in Wimbledon, ND, the son of Oscar and Anna (Albrecht) Reeck. He grew up on the family farm near Jamestown, ND and graduated from Carrington High School. After high school graduation, he worked in a shipyard in Portland, Oregon. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served from 1943-1944. He was stationed in Italy and was a bombardier and navigator on a B24 Liberator, flying 42 missions. Harold and Mayme E. Johnson were married on June 20, 1947 in Jamestown, ND. He graduated from NDSU with a business degree. He worked for the Social Security Administration for 36 years, retiring in 1987 as a district manager. The couple resided in Bismarck, ND, Houston, TX, Chicago, IL, Jamestown, ND, and Juneau AK. They moved to Fargo in 1975 and have lived here since. They wintered in Florida and Texas, and spent the summers at their cabin on Big Cormorant Lake. He enjoyed gardening and NDSU Bison football. Mayme died July 19, 2003. Harold is survived by his son, Steve, Fargo; two daughters, Nanci (Don) Krenelka, Fargo, ND and Sandy (Paul) Erickson, Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Aaron, April, and Alex; his stepmother, Rose Reeck, Jamestown, ND; two sisters: Dorothy Stampka, Aurora, CO and Marion (Elmer) Stampka, Jamestown, ND; a brother, Bernard Reeck, White Bear Lake, MN ; two half sisters, Pat (Gary) Redlin, Hickson, ND and Olivia (Bob) Hatzenbuhler, Mandan, ND; and two half brothers, Dan Reeck. Staples, MN and Bob (Marlene) Reeck, Staples, MN.
