Obituary

Harriet passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2018 at her home in Fargo.

Harriet Dick (Cookie) was born on November 4, 1940 in Fort Totten, ND where she went to school as young child. She moved to North Dakota where she met and fell in love with Arband Arechigo and had five children together; Cheryl Murphy (Mike) of Lakeland, MN; Douglas Arechigo of Fargo; Duane Arechigo of Isles, MN; Colleen Anderson of St Paul, MN; Donald Arechigo of St. Croix Falls, WI; and her pet Turtle, Mandy, whom she loved dearly.

Harriet us survived by her brother, Donald Longie of Fargo; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Arthur Longie; and her mother, Margaret Longie of North Dakota; and eight of her siblings.

Harriet worked most of her life as a Nurse’s assistant caring for the elderly. She loved spending time with her family, fishing and company, watching sports especially the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings. Grandma Cookie will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service: 1 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church in Fargo (2801 Broadway North)

Gathering: one hour prior to the service in the church on Tuesday

    I have fond memories of Cookie. She always greeted me with a full hug and smile. Will miss seeing her at the summer gathering.

    Monte and I extend our sympathy for ‘Cookie’s family. We would have memories of things after my mother, Dorothy, and your mom’s brother, Raymond, married. I was in 7th grade at the time so many years of memories together at various times. Karen Anderson
