Harris passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Fargo, ND, at the age of 78.

Harris Leo Lammers was born on March 23, 1941, the son of Leo and Kathryn (Suhr) Lammers, on the family farm near Page, ND. He grew up in this area and attended Beaver Country School District #99, and continued his education in Page. After his schooling, he began working with his father on the family farm and later worked for the Galesburg Elevator as Assistant Manager. Harris was united in marriage to Shirley Gorum on November 29, 1969 and they made their home on a farm near Blanchard, ND, where they farmed and raised chickens. He later worked for various area farmers. Shirley passed away on September 18, 1996.

Harris was united in marriage to Laurie Sundseth on June 19, 1999. They made their home near Blanchard where they raised Guinea Birds – whom he affectionately called his “Rolling Rocks” – especially his favorite one he named Elivs. In 2011, Harris and Laurie moved into Hillsboro where they have made their home since.

Throughout the years, Harris was an avid hunter, fisher, and loved watching all sports – baseball being a favorite.
Harris is survived by his daughter, Linda (Jim) Seibel of Mantador, ND; his wife, Laurie Lammers of Hillsboro, ND; and her children – Mike (Susanne) Sundseth and Michelle (Todd) Ringdahl. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Kathryn; and his wife, Shirley Lammers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Stordahl Lutheran Church Cemetery.

He hit a baseball out of the park at Enderlin. I think it was still going up as it cleared the fence!

Our thoughts and prayers to all of Harris’s family. I will miss talking with Harris. When he would come to the farm for work or just stopping by it was always hard to go back to work once the story’s started. Never enough time. Rest in piece Harris.
