Oh how I wished I would have heard about Helen’s passing earlier. I would have loved to have been there for her celebration of life and to see the whole family again. Your mother made an impression on so many with her kindness, great sense of humor and complete acceptance of people just for who they were. For all the time I spent around the family, I was always in awe of how she loved each of you so much and saw each of your God given gifts and reminded you of them often. Helen always made me feel special and welcomed, even when she’d be hollering down to the basement that Pete and I should come up and play a game or something 🙂
Always remember, as I know you already know, you were so fortunate to have Helen as your mother, your rock, your moral compass…She has gifted you with her joy, strength and faith! God Bless her soul! I am so grateful to God for placing her in my life.

To Jo Marie and all the Bauer family-
Your mom was such a great person. I remember going to your house many times. She had an amazing smile and a good heart. I know you will miss her as much as I miss my mom especially at this time of the year.
It is consoling that Jesus has told us that we will all rise on the last day and we will be reunited. My love to all of you and you will be in my prayers.
