Obituary

Helen “Holly” Peterson, 86 of White Bear Lake, MN formerly of Fargo, ND passed away May 7, 2020 at White Bear Township.

Holly was born February 10, 1934, daughter of Robert and Lyla Loucks. She grew up in Fargo, ND attended Central High School.

Holly married Marvin G. Peterson on July 6, 1954 at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo ND and they made their home in Fargo where they raised their family. Marvin passed away in 2011.

Holly is survived by her children: Greg (Carol) Peterson of Sioux City, IA; Julie Curry of Vernal, UT; and Joel (Denise) Peterson of White Bear Township, MN; six grandchildren – Eric Peterson, Leif Peterson, Sean Peterson, Danny Peterson, Josh Peterson, and Desiree’ Winchester; and two great-grandchildren, Benaiah Winchester and Bree Peterson; brothers: Robert (Sonya) Loucks, Daniel (Diane) Loucks, John (Marna) Loucks, Glen (Ann) Stewart and Lyle Loucks and sister Linda Bradley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her parents; sister, Elaine Restead; brothers-in-law, Lynn Restead, Jarett Bradley; son-in-law, Bill Curry; and nephew, Brian Loucks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Promise Land Ministries, Inc.

Pallbearers will be: Eric Peterson, Leif Peterson, Sean Peterson, Daniel Peterson, Joshua Peterson, and Benaiah Winchester.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with visitation from 1-2:00 PM on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center,123 10th St. S, Fargo, ND 58103. Burial at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.

    SORRY TO HEAR OF HER DEATH. SHE WAS A GOOD NEIGHBOR TO OOUR HOUSE . ONE BLOCK EAST OF US AND WOULD WALK OVER. SHE ALSO CUT OUR DAUGHTERS HAIR BACK THEM. I WOULD MEET HER IN CASH WISE GROCERY STORE AND VISIT. WONDERED WHAT HAPPENED TO HER AS HAD NOT SEEN HER FOR A WHILE. NEW SHE WENT TO HER KIDS IN WINTER.

    Holly and Marv were my favorite people when I use to wait on them at the credit union. 3 days ago – I thought about her. She was kind and funny- great lady! My sympathies to all of the family. Her and Marv are together again.
