Helen Schmit

Helen Anita Alm Schmit, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, in Fargo. She was born November 21, 1915, to Iver and Clara Hanson Alm in Binford, ND. A graduate of Fargo High School, she married Robert P. Schmit in 1938. She retired in 1981 from the Fargo Clinic after 24 years. She most loved and enjoyed time with her family, but friends, bridge games and slot machines filled her time between visits with them. Robert preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Thorson Williamson of Olathe, KS; her son, Dr. Gary of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; her sister, Jeanne L. Jensen of Overland Park, KS; and her brother, Wallace H. Alm of Shoreline, WA. At her request there will be no public services.
