Herman “Dick” Leroy Morris, 78 of Richville, MN died Saturday May 16, 2020 at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo, ND. Dick was born in Fargo, December 5, 1941 to Elinora & Herman Morris. Dick enlisted in the US Navy in 1959 and served 4 years, which included serving on the USS Saratoga and traveling around the world. Dick married the love of his life, Neomie Flewell on July 2, 1964 in Fargo. They relocated to Bourbonnais, IL where he worked as an electrician for General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, and Uniroyal Joliet Army Ammunitions Plant. He also served as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Bourbonnais Fire Department for many years. They were blessed with 3 children. The family moved back to Fargo-Moorhead in 1982 where Dick worked in Property Maintenance until his retirement. During his retirement years he enjoyed his time at their lake home on Walker Lake. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, bowling, playing cards, listening to music, and enjoying the wildlife around him. He is survived by his wife, Neomie; and his children, Tammy (Rob) Trefethren of Fargo, Tina (Jon) Nordman of Moorhead, and Rick (Danielle) Morris of West Fargo. His grandchildren, Robby (Lauren) Trefethren, Alex (Courtney) Erickson, Alexis Wagner, Douglas Wagner, Tyler Trefethren, Kyle Trefethren, Derrick Morris, Taylor Morris and Tyler Nordman. He also had 4 great-grandchildren Josslyn, Ames, Elowyn Trefethren and Axel Erickson. His sisters Sheila Kapaun, Lyn (Dave) Pankratz and his brother Leonard Morris. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Elinora Morris; and his brother, James Morris. A private service will be held with a burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. It will be live streamed at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, and a recording will be posted following. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

    My deepest condolences on the passing of a very wonderful man. I know each of you will have your own special memories of activities and memorable family times together with Dick, your Dad, your father-in-law, your grandpa and, for the great grandchildren, too young to really know your great grandfather, may countless family stories and gatherings help you come to feel you did know this beautiful person. Dick was was kind-hearted, generous, gentle and a thoughtful man who always enjoyed a good laugh and light-hearted humor.
