Herman F. Wegner Herman F. Wegner, Fargo, age 84, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at ManorCare, Fargo after a courageous one year battle with cancer. Herman F. Wegner was born May 12, 1922 in Milroy, MN, the son of George and Martha (Kremin) Wegner. He grew up there and graduated from high school in 1940. He attended the University of Minnesota and received a bachelor?s degree. He received his law degree from the University of Minnesota in 1951. He was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Herman married Marian Nelson on September 10, 1954. After graduating from college he began his legal career working with the Squtt Law Firm. He served as Assistant States Attorney for Cass County for several years. He then founded the Wegner, Fraase, Nordeng, Johnson and Ramstad Law firm. He was a partner in the firm until retiring after 52 years of practicing law. The law firm continues today as Johnson, Ramstad & Mottinger. During college he worked as a fishing guide at his parent?s resort on Lake Osakis. His passions in life included fishing, farming steam engines, and woodworking. Herman was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, FM Walleyes Unlimited, Western Steam Threshers, Kiwanis, Masons, Elks and a founding member of the Sertoma Club. He loved Big Floyd Lake where he and Marian enjoyed their cottage. Herman loved his four-mile walks daily no matter what the weather. He is survived by his wife, Marian; daughters Marjorie (Robert) McKinnon, Dent, MN, Frances (Gaston) Buford, The Woodlands, TX, Susan (Loren) Jensen, Bremerton, WA; son, LeRoy (Vernice) Wegner, Fargo, ND; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Frieda (Bill) McClellan, Bella Vista, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Benny and Bill Wegner; and sister, Ruth. Visitation: 5-7 p.m.-Friday, October 13, 2006 ? Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND and Saturday in the church one hour before the funeral service. Prayer Service: 7 p.m. ? Friday ?
