Ione passed away on June 29, 2007 at the Perham Memorial Hospital in Perham, MN, at the age of 74. Ione Tronson was born on February 25, 1933, the daughter of Harry and Della (Hausmann) Tronson, in Cummings, ND. She grew up in this area and attended school in Hillsboro, ND. Ione taught in rural schools near Buxton, ND for a few years prior to her marriage. She was united in marriage to George Hill on August 27, 1954 at the Highland Lutheran Church near Cummings, ND. They made their home in rural Mayville, ND and later moved to Fargo, ND. Ione began working for the Fargo Public Schools as a secretary at Lincoln Elementary and later worked at the District Office in the Special Education Department. She retired after 28 years of service. George and Ione spent summers at the Golden Eagle Camp Ground on Big Pine Lake for over 25 years and was a long time member of Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo. Ione enjoyed playing cards at the lake and visiting with the family friends they had made over the years. She was a wonderful grandma who loved her family dearly. Ione is survived by her husband, George Hill; her son, Geoffrey Hill; her grandchildren, Georgia (Jason) Jensen; and Justin (Jessica) Hill; her great grandchildren, Tayler, Makalya, Preston, and Peyton, all of Fargo. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruby Tronson, Gloria Peterson and Harriet (Duane) Amundson. She was preceded is death by her parents; and her brother, Duane Tronson. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 2 PM Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo VISITATION: 5-7 PM Wednesday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo ? and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Thursday PRAYER SERVICE: 7 PM Wednesday at Boulger Funeral Home Arrangements entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo.
