Irene Brink

Irene Brink, 93, formerly of Horace, ND, died Friday, May 5, 2006 at Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND Irene was born June 23, 1912 in Davenport, ND to Ole and Ingebord (Odegaard) Trom. She attended the Davenport School. After school she worked with her brother, Elder Trom at the Davenport Caf?. She also worked at different farm homes. She also worked at Leeby?s Grocery and Restaurant in Farg, ND. Irene married Robert Brink on November 27, 1943 in Breckridge, MN. The couple lived and farmed in the Horace area for 62 years. Irene liked to crochet, and was in the local Homemaker?s Club, Horace Seniors and was active in the Ladies Aid for the Horace Lutheran Church. Irene and Bob were in the Country Wheelers, a square dancing group for 16 years. Family was very import to Irene. Irene is survived by her husband, Robert, two children, Russell (Karen) Brink, Horace, ND, and Karen (Dennis) Fenske, Wapaun, WI, 4 grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer, special friend) Brink, Tim Brink all of Horace, ND, Jeff (Kristi) Bismarck, ND, Tamara (Bryce) Dunford, Horace, ND, 3 great grandchildren, Samatha and Austin Dunford and Mattie Brink and a sister Selma Blilie, Fargo, ND. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Conrad, Oscar, Gordon, Elder, Gerhard, Olga (twin sister), Inga, Selma (infant) and a infant brother. The funeral for Irene will be Monday, May 8th at 11:00am, at the Horace Lutheran Church, Horace, ND. The prayer service will be Sunday, May 7th at 7pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation will be from 5-7pm at the Boulger Funeral Home and 1 hour before the funeral service at the Horace Lutheran. Burial will be at the Brink Addition, Horace, ND Arrangements have been entrusted to Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND.
