Irene Sande

Irene A. Sande 75 of Fargo, ND died Sat. Feb. 15, 2003 at ManorCare Nursing Home, Fargo Irene A. Nitschke was born March 16, 1927 on a farm near Ashley, ND. She moved to Ashley at the age of 14 and attended school there. Later, she moved to Fargo. She worked as a waitress and attended Interstate Business College. Irene and John Sande Jr. were married April 8, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. They lived in Sioux City, Iowa for a short time and returned to Fargo. In 1958 they moved to Casper, Wyoming. Irene?s husband, Jack, was killed in a car accident in 1963 in Casper. Irene and her daughter returned to Fargo in 1965. She worked for various business firms and later on worked as a secretary for Iron Workers Local 793 for about 13 years, retiring in 1989. Irene enjoyed her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and country music. Irene was a hard worker and liked to cook. She spent time with her brother, Mel and was very close to her sister, Erma and she enjoyed Erma?s two daughters and their children. She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Jean Sande, Fargo; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her brother, Mel Nitschke, Moorhead, MN; and her sister, Erma Veitch, Fargo. Visitation: 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Boulger Funeral Home, Tuesday one hour before the service at the Church.
