Isabelle passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at her home at Eventide in Fargo, surrounded by her loving family, and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Isabelle was born on July 7, 1930, the daughter of Edwin and Elizabeth (Anderson) Moen, in Caledonia, North Dakota. Isabelle was baptized on December 8, 1930 in Shelly, MN, and later confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro on June 9, 1946. She grew up in this area, received her education, graduating from Hillsboro High School. Isabelle was united in marriage to Galen “Buck” Jeffers on November 23, 1948. Together they made their home in Hillsboro where they raised their five children. Isabelle was a longtime member of the Hillsboro American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, and a very active member at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Buck passed away on July 31, 2011 and Isabelle moved to Fargo in 2014. She had most recently made her home at Eventide in Fargo since October of 2017. Isabelle is survived by her five children – Vicki (Mark) Madsen of Fargo; Ann (Tom) Klemetson of Hillsboro, Laurie (Dean) Olson of Fargo; Barry Jeffers and Randy Jeffers both of Fargo. Also surviving are her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Connie (Roger) Anderson of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck; her siblings – Blanche Eidum, Frances Skogen, Lloyd Moen; and her two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hatfield and Marvel Jean Sorum. Memorials are preferred to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, the Shriners Children’s Hospital, or to Hospice of the Red River Valley. VISITATION: 6-7 PM Friday, April 20, 2018 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo – and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Saturday PRAYER SERVICE: 7 PM Friday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo FUNERAL SERVICE: 1 PM Saturday at Our Savior’ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro BURIAL: Riverside Cemetery in Hillsboro

  1. Barry and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at the loss of Isabelle. She was a great lady that I appreciated meeting. My parents always enjoyed the time they spent with Buck and Isabelle during Sigma Chi events or times they visited when I was in Grandin. Hopefully her wonderful memories will comfort you through these trying times.
