James Conneran

James passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Manorcare in Fargo at the age of 80. James F. Conneran was born on March 3, 1935 in Crookston, MN, the son of James and Cora (Normandeau) Conneran. He grew up on the family farm SW of Fisher, MN and attended St. Joseph’s grade school. James graduated from Red Lake Falls High School in 1953. He worked for the Land O Lakes Company in Thief River Falls and at the Red Lake Falls Gamble Store until 1964, when he moved to Fargo, ND. He began working as clerk for Powers Hotel on Labor Day of that year, where he was employed until it closed in 1980. James worked for Bud’s Amoco in Moorhead as a night clerk for 11 years. James was employed by the Holiday Inn in Fargo as a clerk and later in building security from 1994 until 2008, when he retired for health reasons. James was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fargo, the Eagles and Elks Clubs in Fargo. He was an avid reader. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 half sisters ant 2 half brothers.
