James "Jim" Jacobson

James ?Jim? Jacobson Fargo, ND James Jacobson, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo. Jim was born on March 1, 1928, in Barnes County, North Dakota. He grew up in Valley City, ND, where he attended school graduating from Valley City High School. After his education he began his 32 year career with Northwestern Bell. Jim was united in marriage to Peggy Getchell on June 23, 1947. They made their home in Valley City prior to moving to Fargo in 1964. Jim retired from Northwestern Bell in 1981. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Peggy of Fargo; his children, Steven Jacobson of Rapid City, SD; Paul (Toni) Jacobson of Bismarck, ND; Cindy (Lynn) Remsing of Arlington, TX; Barb (Dana) Ivers of Des Moines, IA; Tim (Joni) Jacobson of Des Moines, IA; and Dan (JoAnne) Jacobson of Fargo; 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Jacobson. Memorials are preferred to Villa Maria or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
