James Francis Stine of 2301 25 ? Ave. S. Fargo, ND died Saturday, Dec. 20th, 2003 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND James Francis Stine was born Feb. 18th 1923 in Williston, ND. He grew up on a farm near Marmath, ND and graduated from Williston High School in 1941. He served in the Navy, during WWII and was stationed in San Diego, CA. After his discharge from the service he enrolled in NDSU graduating in 1949 with a B.S. Degree in Agriculture. James started his 33 year career in the NDSU Agricultural Extension Service with an internship in Grand Forks, ND. His first agricultural county agent position was in Oliver County Extension Service, followed with La Moure County, then Morton County. James married Marian Patricia Maloney on May 20, 1950 in Valley City, ND. James received his Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics from NDSU in 1962. The couple moved to Fargo in 1969 where Mr. Stine continued his work as a District Director with the Agricultural Extension Service. He is survived by his wife, Marian and seven children, Richard, Fargo; Douglas (Teresa) Wausau, WI; Gordon, Portland, OR; Catherine Stine, Little Canada, MN; Paul, Fridley, MN; Barbara (Gary) Fischer, Onolaska, WI and; Marilyn (Larry) Doeden, Fargo, ND, thirteen grandchildren, and his brother, Laurence, Stine, Western Spring Illinois and his sister-in-law Eunice Stine, Fargo, ND. Funeral Mass: Tuesday, December 23 at 1:00 p.m. Church of the Nativity, Fargo Visitation: Monday, December 22 at 5:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Boulger Funeral Home. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
