Jean M. Williams, 85, of Fargo, ND passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
Jean M. Fontaine was born March 24, 1925 to Albert J. Fontaine and Evelyn C. (Fillion) Fontaine in Grand Forks, ND. She grew up in Grand Forks graduating from East Grand Forks High School.
She married LeRoy H. Williams on June 22, 1946. They lived in Grand Forks moving to Minot in 1956. They moved to Moorhead in 1960 and Fargo in 1970. She worked for S.S. Kresge Department Store on Broadway Fargo, ND. She transferred to the South University Kmart to work in customer service when it opened in 1966. She retired at 65 in 1990 from South University Kmart. She returned to work at Kmart on 13th Avenue until 1998. From 2002 to 2006 she worked at Fleet Farm as a cashier.
Jean enjoyed her time at the lake for over 30 years. She enjoyed flower gardening and scrapbooking. She was an avid Twins fan.
She is survived by 6 sons, LeRoy (Katherine), Moorhead, MN, Dana, Fargo, ND, Brian (Sue) West Fargo, ND, Lee, Fargo, ND, Mark, Thompson, ND, Scott, Fargo, ND; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Judy Cummings, Grand Forks, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Gene and Jack, two brothers, Lynn Fontaine and Jerry Fontaine.

My sympathy to the Williams family. I worked with Jean at K-mart on South University Drive when I was in high school. She was always very proud of her boys! She was a hard worker and someone I looked up to.
