Jeff E. “Fish” Fisher, 59, Oxbow, ND passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Sanford Health, Fargo after a long battle with Lymphoma.
Jeff was born May 18, 1961 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Wayne and Ruth (Rex) Fisher. He graduated from Park Center Senior High School in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. He went on to graduate from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 1984. He married Cindy Garvey on March 20, 1982 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. He worked for Target for over 30+ years.
He was an avid Minnesota Gopher fan and loved to play golf. He had 3 Hole-in-one’s throughout his career and especially loved Golden Gopher Hockey.
Spending time with his family was his priority and he always made time for his beloved grandchildren.
He will be missed by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cindy, Oxbow, ND; children, Jacklyn Wold, Fargo, ND, Jake Fisher, St. Louis Park, MN, Katelyn Fisher, Phoenix, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Peyton Wold, Cassidy Wold, Riley Wold; 3 brothers, Jim (Bernie) Fisher, Elk River, MN, Gary (Sherry) Fisher, Nashville, TN, Brent (Darla) Fisher, Shakopee, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Open House: 2:30-5:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo.

Cindy and family, I am so sorry for your loss I am saddened by this news. I enjoyed learning from and working with Jeff for many years at Target. He was always the guy that kept his team and others around him as his priority. I will miss him! I am praying for you and your family!
Dear Cindy and family, you are all in my prayers having heard of the loss of Jeff. He was my boss at Target for the first part of my career coming straight out of college and continued to be a strong mentor for me over the next several years. Back then he would occasionally break the rules and that would frustrate his team, but looking back I realize that those rules were worth breaking. I remember meeting his family, he was so proud of you. Even recently when I would run into him out and about in Fargo, he would have a friendly greeting, despite having not seen me for awhile. I will remember him as an easy going and very positive leader and also as a friend. His wacky sense of humor and boisterous laugh always kept things lively, but underneath that lay a person who cared about his people and he would take care of them. May your memories of him be of comfort to you in the coming days and may God bless you.
Fish always had a smile to share. I am so saddened by his passing and his cancer struggle. I will pray for his and the family’s peace.
My first thought of Jeff was always his smile & his sense of humor. It is hard to believe he is no longer with us, but I know his struggle with lymphoma was long and hard. His family was always the most important thing in his life, and I know you will all miss him more than words can convey. Jeff was still in high school when I moved to Minnesota for those five winters and I remember going to watch him play high school hockey, and of course coming back when he married Cindy. The first of the Fisher boys to get married and yet the youngest, at the wedding dance I remember his brothers switching lines and dancing with the groom as a joke and of course Jeff made the most of it! He will be so fondly remembered. My thoughts and prayers go out over the miles to all the family. Know that my heart is with you in these incredibly sad times.
My prayers go out to you all. My husband enjoyed picking me up from work and talking football with Jeff. I had the pleasure of working for Jeff and his leadership and laughter was contagious! God Bless and Be with you!
I am so sorry for your loss! I was classmates with Jeff from Elementary through High School. He was a great guy and was always smiling. May the Lord comfort you!
I’m sorry for loss. Jeff was my baseball and hockey teammate and also graduate same high school class of 1980. He a smart guy. Rest in peace Jeff.

I am very sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing and my prayers and thoughts go out to you all. We met Jeff as a healthcare community, entering his life ( and yours) at a very vulnerable time. We knew him to be a wonderful. big hearted soul who loved his family and touched many peoples lives. He will be missed.
