Jeffrey David Greenwood, 59, Fargo, ND passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Sanford Health. He was born August 18, 1958 to Donald William and Shirley Ann (Christianson) Greenwood in Moorhead, MN. He grew up in Fargo was raised by Ovilla and Lucinda Rheault. Jeff graduated from Kindred High School in 1977. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Army. Jeff was stationed at Fort Bliss, TX, serving as a HAWK Fire Control Crewman. He was recognized as a rifle marksman and grenade expert. In 1980, he was honorably discharged and returned to the Fargo area. Jeff was employed for 31 years at GPK Products, Inc. until his passing. He loved his job and his coworkers, especially his good friend, Bucky Holbrook. Jeff’s was one of eight foster children the Rheaults cared for. They had a strong influence on him and when he was older, Jeff also fostered many kids, passing on the values he and his siblings were taught. In addition to collecting coins and baseball cards, Jeff also enjoyed playing the guitar. He also liked vintage cars. He is survived by his siblings, Wayne (Carol) Greenwood, Jeanne (Steven) Taylor, and Richard Greenwood; several foster children, including Chad Wold; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovilla and Lucinda Rheault; 3 foster sisters; 3 foster brothers; and his biological parents, Donald and Shirley Greenwood. There will be a visitation from 12-2:00 PM with a prayer service following at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. There will be a funeral service at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Horace with a visitation one hour prior.

Wish I was in the Fargo area to be able to attend his funeral. Lots of memories from our high school years in Kindred! Jeff, you will be missed!
