Jerome Morlin Rindahl (Bud), 85 of Fargo, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 5th at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo. He was born to Arthur & Irene Rindahl on May 5, 1933 and graduated from Proctor High School in Minnesota.

Bud married Jennette Forness on August 1, 1953 at Richland Church. He enlisted in the US Army and spent two years of active duty in Germany, before joining the US Air Force Air National Guard ‘Happy Hooligans’ in 1957, retiring as Master Sergeant in 1993. He also began his career with the US Post Office in 1957 as a carrier. Bud retired from both in 1993.

After retirement Bud & Jennette enjoyed spending their summers at Meadow Lake, MN and traveling to visit their children.

He dearly loved all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and spent as much time as he could with each of them at all of their of activities.

He is survived by his wife Jennette, sons Brent (Janet), Blake (Virginia), Barry (Michelle), Brock (Darcy) and daughter Brenda (Ron) Westrick, 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, his son Bradley, brother Duane, sister Orlyss, step-father George Hagen, nephews Kirk Rindahl, Mark Hendrickson, Kevin Rindahl, Sister-In-Law Marilyn Forness and Brothers-in-Law Donald Forness and James Hendrickson.

A Memorial Service will be at 1pm Friday, March 1 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in South Fargo.

  1. I was so sorry to hear that Mr. Rindahl had passed. I have known the Rindahl’s most of my life. Mr. Rindahl was one of my Sunday school teachers at Bethlehem and I went to school with Brent, Blake and Barry. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  6. Sad to hear, Bud has always been part of the good memories for me. Great to work with, great sense of humor. He did his part to make Guard Drill fun and productive. He will be missed.

  11. My sincere condolences to Jeanette and the entire Rindahl family. Bud was a valuable member of the North Dakota Air National Guard. He made sure he was available to assist for any and all key training, inspections and deployments. He set a wonderful example for all of us and was a tremendous member of our 119th Supply organization. He will be missed. Warm Regards,
