Gerald “Jerry” Wallace Tvedt, 68, of Fargo, passed away at his home on April 17, 2012.
Jerry was born on August 31, 1943 to Wallace and Rose (Murphy) Tvedt. He grew up on the family farm near Argusville, ND. He attended school in Harwood and Argusville, before joining the U.S. Army in May of 1966. While in the army Jerry served overseas in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1968. After leaving the service he worked at various ranches and farms throughout the Dakotas and Montana. It was in Montana that he met and married Carol Grubbs. The couple had one child together, Amanda.
Jerry enjoyed nature. He liked to hunt, fish, and be outdoors. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his daughter, nieces, and nephews.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Doug) Foltz of Tuscola, IL; grandchildren, Will and Kate; sister, Jane Winkler of Mandan, ND; brothers, Jim Tvedt, Dean (Mary) Tvedt both of Argusville, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joan (Jim) Robinson; brother, Lowell Tvedt; and infant sister, Janet Tvedt.
