Jewel Rivinius

Jewel Marcella Rivinius Jewel died peacefully in her daughter’s home on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Jewel was born to Alfred and Ragna (Adsero) Egge in Moorhead, MN on Sunday, September 3, 1922. She grew up there and graduated from Moorhead High School. Jewel met her husband Walter while working at the VA Hospital in Fargo, ND. They were married September 2, 1946. Two children were born to them, Michael and Gayle. Jewel demonstrated love for people that was an example of Christ’s love. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever. She will be especially missed by dad who affectionately called her “Dolly”. They recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Jewel is survived by her husband, Walter; her daughter, Gayle and son in law, Stan Grafsgaard of Moorhead; six precious grandchildren – Melissa, Jeremiah, Julia (Ryan) Dobbins, Rebekah, Micah, and Brianna; and one great granddaughter, Charlie Dobbins, who shares her birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Percy Egge; and her beloved son, Michael.
