Joan “JT” (Stickel) Kamranian, age 54, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at her home in Fargo, ND. Joan was born on September 30, 1961 in Jamestown, ND to Melvin and Theresa (Altringer) Stickel. Joan lived and attended school in Jamestown. There she met and married Reza Kamranian. Together they opened and operated many restaurants, including Sergio’s Mexican Restaurant, Rockin’ 50’s, and A&W. Joan absolutely loved operating the Rockin’ 50’s. Her favorite memories from there were of the poodle skirts and serving on roller skates. Joan loved being her boys, and her best friend, Reich. She moved to Fargo in 2005. She was employed at Walmart in Dilworth, MN. She enjoyed the times she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She is survived by her 2 sons, Michael Kamranian and Shahin (Tressa) Kamranian, both of Fargo; 3 grandchildren: Michaela (ND); Ethan (ND); and Amira (OH); her mother, Theresa Stickel, Fargo; 2 brothers: Terry (Cora) Stickel, Lehr, ND; and James Stickel, Fargo; one sister, Debbie Stickel, Fargo; 6 nieces and nephews: Michelle Stickel, Misty (Tom) Lulay; Kathy (Nick) Collins; Christy (Travis) Haugen; Timothy and Noah Stickel; 9 great-nieces and nephews; and 4 great-great nieces and nephews. Guestbook

  1. So sorry for the loss of the family. She was an awesome person! Going to definitely miss her smiling face at work everyday.

  2. I cannot begin to describe how deeply saddened I am to hear of this news. Joan was a great friend to me many years ago. We had a lot of fun together while sharing so many laughs. I thought of her often over the years and regret we lost contact with each other. Her vibrant personality and beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
My prayers go out to the family in this very difficult time.
    Rest in peace Joan.
