  3. So sorry to hear about Joanie. I remember seeing a lot of her when visiting Uncle Henry and Aunt Jeannette’s farm. She did a lot of upholstery work for my mom, Jeanne Montplaisir Roen. Hugs and prayers for the family through this difficult time. RIP Joanie, Til We Meet Again in Heaven

  4. What a grand lady she was and we will really miss her and her friendly, down to earth personality. I loved reading her letters which were so witty and humerous just as if she were talking to you.

She put up a long and valiant fight battling her cancer and we trust she is now safely resting in the arms of Jesus.

  5. Wayne and I have many memories of Joanie!! What a lady she was such a force and will be missed by all!! Her humor knew no bounds and did we have fun!!! You will be misses!! Love to the family Wayne and Mattie Baumgartner

  7. Hmmm…Joan. RIP…was great having you as second or third mom growing up. Us Frenchicans were pretty tight in the 70s and early 80s, Other than the words of wisdom you shared with me and my wife a few years ago…you shared many words and lessons over the previous 40 years or so to me personally. Too many years of trying to corral your kids and their cousins at family gatherings and holidays…or not enough. The years on the farm having HUGE breakfasts with your family and the relatives….THIS is what with the eggs (REALLY)!! Actually got to shine eggs with you in the basement a couple times…..life lesson! I still eat eggs enthusiastically despite the spots! Even though we hardly ever see each other anymore…my closest cousins were Jean, Brenda, Roxanne,Sandy, Dennis and Tammy growing up. Me and Sandy never kissed upside down….never happened no matter what the pictures show (Stacy Steph and Dusty were pretty close too and i am sure feel the same loss). RIP and peace to all of your children that helped you though these final years. And peace to uncle Jerry that you finally get to rest alongside him once again.

  8. Many fond memories of living “next door” to your family! Loved watching the video that brought back memories of long ago! She was a very special lady! Hoping all the good memories will get you through these difficult days! Healing hugs to all of you!
