As Joan would say “Never lose your joy” and even though we will miss our sweet “Joanie”, we are rejoicing that she is with our Lord and Savior and is now our very special angel watching over us. This brings us much joy. Special thanks to the staff at Bethany Nursing Home for the love, care and support they gave to Joan and our family. We have lost a beautiful wife, mom, grandma, aunt, and friend. Heaven gained a joyful angel. Joanie was certainly one of the very kindest and most sincere women I have ever known. Such a great cook…I still follow several of her yummy recipes. I love you all!

  16. Jim and family,

How hard it is to say goodbye to this wonderfully precious woman. She taught us so much about living life, family devotion, and loving our Lord. I still smile when I walk by a sale as Joanie would say, “If God wants me to have it, then it’ll be there when I need it.” And it always was…thus, why she claimed to be His pet. Love that woman and all she was. And we love her family, so very much. Our prayers for you have not stopped over the last 35+ years. May the good Lord send His angels to surround you with loving memories and bring you peace.
Love always, Jim and Julie Deis
