John A. Kobylski, 85, Lisbon, North Dakota died Saturday, September 18, 2004 in The Lisbon Hospital, Lisbon, North Dakota.
Mr. Kobylski was born October 31, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan to Anthony and Genevieve (Dobruszalasi).
During World War II, he served with the 45th Infantry, US Army Division in Africa, Sicily, Italy, Southern France and Munich, Germany. He moved to Horace in 1969 where he lived for 12 years and then moved to Kindred, North Dakota returning to Horace in 1995 living there until he entered the North Dakota Veteran?s Home in Lisbon, ND in the fall of 2000.
Mr. Kobylski was a member of St. Benedict Church, Horace, ND and a lifetime member of VFW Post 7564, West Fargo, North Dakota. Before retiring he had worked for the Roofing and Sheet Metal Workers in Fargo, ND.
He is survived by two sisters, Helen Seiberling and Anna Seymoure of Detroit, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Kobylski will be held at the North Dakota Veteran?s Home in Lisbon, ND on Tuesday, September 21st at 10am and Burial will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Fargo, ND.
Arrangements are being handled by Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND.
