John Lacher, 80, Fargo, formerly of Wishek, ND, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo.
John was born in Wishek, ND on October 30, 1932. He was one of seven children born to Remigus & Eva Lacher. Following a stint in the armed services during the Korean War, he married Lorraine Larson in 1954. Following her passing in 2002, he lived in Fargo. John was a semi-truck driver for different companies.
John spent the last year of his life at his home as he called it, Rosewood On Broadway nursing home in Fargo. His days were spent lovingly pestering the nurses and staff at the home. He loved them all and we know they must have loved him, otherwise they sure wouldn’t put up with his constant remarks, if you know what I mean.
John was active with the American Legion and the VFW. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his two sons; Michael, Washington, WA, and John Jr., Fargo, ND, three brothers; Joe Lacher, Brownsville, TX, George Lacher, Fargo, ND, David Lacher, West Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother Philip and 2 sisters Clara Carroll and Cathy Paulson.
