Joni Raye Elliott of Boynton Beach FL, formerly of Galesburg, ND and Fargo, ND passed away following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer which saw many highs and lows. A loving and fun loving, mother, sister, and daughter, she was 49. Joni was born on May 6, 1968 in Fargo, ND to Albert Elliott Jr. and Marilyn Elliott. She graduated as salutatorian from Clifford-Galesburg High School in 1986 where she was involved in and excelled in many activities including basketball, softball, cheerleading, and showing horses and cattle. She attended North Dakota State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Economics from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Joni has been recognized with many top sales awards including top national sales awards throughout her lifelong career in the relocation industry, most recently serving as the Vice President of Business Development for Mayflower Transit. Joni loved the Florida sunshine, the beaches, meeting new friends, staying connected with family and lifelong friends, and was an animal lover dedicated to her dog Brittany, a chocolate lab, years ago, and more recently to Snuggles, a beloved Bichon Frise. Above all Joni was most devoted to loving and spending time with her son Maxwell (12 years old). He gave her extraordinary joy in her life. She loved spending time with Max doing everything from going to the beach, trips to Disney World, cruises, loving their dog Snuggles, movie nights, and watching Max excel in baseball. Joni’s extraordinary way with people and her charismatic energy made everyone around her feel important and special. Joni is survived by her son Maxwell Ness (Corey Ness); her parents Albert (Betty) Elliott Jr., Fargo, ND, Marilyn Elliott, Boynton Beach, FL; brother Albert Elliott III, Fargo, ND; sister Jill Elliott, Baltimore, MD; brother Cody (Jessi) Elliott, Fargo, ND; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
