Joseph Lacher, 75, Brownsville, TX, formerly of Fargo, ND, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
Joe, as he was affectionately known to all, had been a resident of Brownsville for over 40 years. Joe was a nurse with a Master’s degree who touched the lives of all those he cared for at both Valley Baptist and Valley Regional Medical Centers in Brownsville, TX. Joe also inspired the nursing students under his tutelage at UTB.
Joe, a devout Catholic, attended Mass regularly at Immaculate Conception Cathedral where he was also a member of the choir. Joe was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed not only by his family, friends, and students but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Eva and Remigus Lacher and his siblings: Philip, Clara, John, and Cathy.
Joe is survived by his two brothers: George M. and his wife Paulette and David C. Lacher, numerous nieces, nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 9:00 am, Saturday August 19, 2017 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Fargo, Reverend Al Bitz presiding.
