Joseph passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Sherman Hospice Home in Phoenix, AZ, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 59.

Joseph Earl Mueller was born on February 3, 1957 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Earl and Barbara (Reinpold) Mueller. He grew up on the family farm in Cummings, ND. He received his education in Hillsboro graduating from Hillsboro High School. He also attended Grand Forks Technical College where he received his training for trucking.

Joseph was united in marriage to Vicki Rourke in 1987 at St. Paul’s Newman Center in Fargo and they made their home in Eagan, MN. Joe drove truck for over 20 years out of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and Wabasha, MN communities. In 2001 they moved to Rochester, MN while he was working for Bauer Built Tire. He then began working for OK Tire in 2010.

In September 2013, Joe was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Due to health reasons, he left his position at OK Tire and began his business, TSJ Creations. The past three years he loved the time he spent creating wonderful items such as his bird houses and solar lights. He was also active in organizing Multiple Myeloma support groups in Rochester, MN and Glendale AZ. He was also very instrumental in passing legislation naming March as  Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month in Rochester, MN . He was also a devoted member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Rochester. Throughout the years, his favorite days were spent with his family. He was a very proud father and grandfather and a loving husband. Many memories were made from the times spent camping with family and friends. Joe and Vicki had recently made their home in Glendale, AZ.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Vicki; his four children – Angela (Shannon) Kain of Appleton, WI; Lisa (Matthew) Hoy of Prior Lake, MN; Dustin (Erica) Mueller of Glendale, AZ; and Melissa Mueller of Glendale, AZ; his five grandchildren – Travis, Cheyanne, Juliette, Mason, and Amelie.
