Joseph passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Sherman Hospice Home in Phoenix, AZ, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 59. Joseph Earl Mueller was born on February 3, 1957 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Earl and Barbara (Reinpold) Mueller. He grew up on the family farm in Cummings, ND. He received his education in Hillsboro graduating from Hillsboro High School. He also attended Grand Forks Technical College where he received his training for trucking. Joseph was united in marriage to Vicki Rourke in 1987 at St. Paul’s Newman Center in Fargo and they made their home in Eagan, MN. Joe drove truck for over 20 years out of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and Wabasha, MN communities. In 2001 they moved to Rochester, MN while he was working for Bauer Built Tire. He then began working for OK Tire in 2010.  In September 2013, Joe was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Due to health reasons, he left his position at OK Tire and began his business, TSJ Creations. The past three years he loved the time he spent creating wonderful items such as his bird houses and solar lights. He was also active in organizing Multiple Myeloma support groups in Rochester, MN and Glendale AZ. He was also very instrumental in passing legislation naming March as  Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month in Rochester, MN . He was also a devoted member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Rochester. Throughout the years, his favorite days were spent with his family. He was a very proud father and grandfather and a loving husband. Many memories were made from the times spent camping with family and friends. Joe and Vicki had recently made their home in Glendale, AZ. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Vicki; his four children – Angela (Shannon) Kain of Appleton, WI; Lisa (Matthew) Hoy of Prior Lake, MN; Dustin (Erica) Mueller of Glendale, AZ; and Melissa Mueller of Glendale, AZ; his five grandchildren – Travis, Cheyanne, Juliette, Mason, and Amelie. Also surviving are his siblings – Theresa (Gary) Mueller-Scheibelhut of Victoria, TX; Ed (Julie) Mueller of Garretson, SD; Don Mueller of Bismarck, ND; Ron (Gwen) Mueller of Detroit Lakes, MN; Dave (Trish) Mueller of Cummings, ND; Paul (Deb) Mueller of Cummings, ND; and Larry (Maribeth) Mueller of Hillsboro, ND; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Barb; his sister-in-law, Janell; and special uncles – Fr. Maurice Mueller and Rudy Reinpold. VISITATION: 4-7 PM Thursday, December 8, 2016 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro- and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Friday FUNERAL MASS: 11 AM Friday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro BURIAL: St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Hillsboro

I still remember all of you jumping in the old blue chev pickup, as the plate said, “drive like hell”I wouldn’t have wanted to be in the back when Joe drove!😜 Again our sympathies to you all, you all have another angel watching over you!
