Judith Thomasson, 61, Moorhead, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at her home, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Judith was born on April 14, 1950 in Denver, CO, to Lawrence and Adahnell (Johnson) Bender. Growing up her dad was in the Corp of Engineers and the family moved around a lot including Rapid City, SD, Florida, and Okinawa, Japan. She graduated from Kubasaki High School in Sukiran, Okinawa in 1968. Judith graduated from Iowa Central Community College in 1970.  She attended Moorhead State College in 1971.

On November 27, 1971 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Thomasson at Vikur Lutheran Church in Mountain, ND.  Judith and Ken lived in Hensel, ND from 1976-2009.  They moved to Moorhead in January 2010.

 Judith was a bookkeeper at Mainstreet Computers in Edinburgh from 2003-2008. She was also the city auditor of Hensel.

She loved reading, camping, travel, and bingo, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren.

Judith is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Scott (Pam), Moorhead, Chris (Christine), Fargo, Brian (Lori), West Fargo; grandchildren, Trenton, Emma, Gunnar, Gavin, and Riley; siblings, Connie Helle, Grafton, Debbi (Sammy), Edinburg, Mike (Debbie), Minto.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and nephew, Greg Helle.

In Lieu of flowers donations are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
