Karin Louise Hubbard, cherished wife and mother went home to her beloved Lord and Savior on June 29th, 2007 at the tender age of 52 years. Karin was born in Fergus Falls, MN on July 20th, 1954 to Richard and Vivian Grewe. She grew up there and graduated from High School in 1972. Karin also attended Community College there. In 1972 Karin met Mike Hubbard also of Fergus Falls and they were married at United Methodist Church in Fergus Falls on December 1st, 1973. In early 1974 they moved to Detroit Lakes, MN making that their home. There they raised three children Matthew, Nicole and Joel. Karin soon realized being with children was her passion and made her home welcome to daycare for the next 18 years. In 1996, the family moved to Fargo, ND. Karin soon continued her love for children as the Youth Minister and later as the Young Children?s Minister at Atonement Lutheran Church in Fargo. Karin?s passion was teaching young children about Jesus and she touched so many lives, children and adult. She was eagerly anticipating the birth of her first granddaughter in September. Karin was known and loved for her kind and giving spirit and was a true ?gem? to everyone, always putting others before herself. Her priorities in life were God, her husband, and her family. Karin is survived by her loving husband Michael of 34 years; Matthew (Kara) of Bozeman, MT; Nicole (Joe) of Burnsville, MN; and Joel of Minneapolis, MN. She is also survived by her mother, Vivian (Russell) Shol of Fergus Falls; two brothers, David (Kathi) Grewe of Alexandria, MN and Paul (Jan) Grewe of Fort Collins, CO; one sister, Laurie (Scott) Nelson of Winona, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Grewe and grandparents. A celebration and memorial of Karin?s life will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church on Monday July 2, 2007 at 6:30 pm with visitation from 5-7 pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:30am at Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND. Memorials may be given in Karin?s name to Atonement Lutheran Church for the completion of the second floor Sunday School Wing fulfilling her wishes for the continued teaching of Jesus to so many children. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
